NDLO LSV construction kick-start

20th May 2015

The construction of the new logistics and support vessel (LSV) ordered by the Norwegian Defense Logistics Organisation (NDLO) for the Royal Norwegian Navy, has formally started with the Steel Cutting ceremony in DSME’s yard in Geoje island, S.Korea, under the supervision of SeaQuest.

The supervision team, responsible to look after every single detail of this sophisticated and complex naval vessel designed to the best lifetime eco-efficiency standards, is formed from our pool of expatriate and Korean personnel and includes experts dedicated to naval aspects for electrical, automation, ILS coordination and HSE, in addition to machinery, hull, paint inspectors and a secretary-document controller.
A site manager, coordinating all aspects of the site office work, inspections and testings, and a project manager, responsible for overseeing project development and progress, complete the personnel deployed by SeaQuest to perform the LSV construction supervision.

The vessel is scheduled to be delivered to the Royal Norwegian Navy in Autumn 2016.
